미국 미네소타주 덜루스 (Duluth)시내 공원의 일본 평화의 종
일본의 오하라시에 있는 종의 복제품으로 오하라시와 자매결연된 미국의 미네소타주 얼루스시에 보내져 시내 잉거공원 (Enger Park)내 일본 선정원 (Japanese Zen Garden)에 설치되었다. 밀본 오하라시와 미국 덜루스시의 자매결연 기념품이다.
2차 대전 후 미해군이 고철더미에 버려진 사찰의 오래된 종을 발견하고 미 군함 덜루스호에 실어 미국으로 건너가 덜루스시에 보내졌던 고종은 원 소유주였던 일본 오하라시에 반환되었고 그 복제품이 설치되었다.
The bell is a replica of the temple bell that is housed in Ohara, Japan.
The only difference is that the inscription on this bell tells the story of Ohara's bell and how it

The "American-Japanese Peace Bell" in Ohara dates back to 1686
Residents of Ohara, Japan have had a soft spot in their heart for Duluth since the 1950's when Duluth returned to Ohara an ancient Buddhist temple bell. The bell had been brought to Duluth by officers of the Navy cruiser USS Duluth, whose seamen had found it in a Japanese scrap yard after World War II.
In celebration of the first anniversary of the Duluth-Ohara Sister Cityrelationship,
Ohara presented Duluth with a gift of a duplicate of the bell that is now located in
Duluth's Enger Park.
